I am a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild.  I've lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2004.  I spent the 2021-22 school year studying at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, where I earned a certificate in Basic Piano Technology.  At North Bennet Street, I studied all aspects of aural tuning, regulation, and action repair of upright and grand pianos.

While I was at North Bennet, I was part of a Boston NPR story about people transitioning into careers in the trades.

In the summer of 2022, I worked as an assistant piano technician at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in western Massachusetts, where I tuned, repaired, and regulated pianos for use by students and faculty.

I look forward to servicing your piano with care!

Mike Carlin, of CarlinPiano in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has experience tuning and repairing all makes and models of grand and upright (vertical) pianos.
